Week-long Writing Retreat in Central Australia
2008 You in the Desert
Location:
Finke River, outside Alice Springs
Dates: Sunday 17 - Friday 22 August 2008
Cradled by the vast landscape of Central Australia, spend a week writing,
walking and swagging it on the banks ofthe Finke River.
In this ancient land beneath the wide blue sky and touched by the play
of light and desert colour, you'll naturally connect more deeply with
yourself and your story -- where you've come from, who you are now and
your core values and purpose. You don't need to be a writer; as well as
writing prompts you'll be given a variety of creative approaches to enter
your story.
“I have learnt that to share our stories,
to share glimpses of our inner life, creates bonds of love each with the
other.” ~ Liz, participant 2006
”And the vision on waking was the gentle
morning light on the yellow reeds in the Larapinta water hole, the light
turning the hills from subdued mauve to brilliant red…”
~ Participant 2006
